Bringing Community Together Every Saturday
At West Palm Beach Market, we bring together shoppers, collectors, artisans, and small businesses for a lively outdoor marketplace in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach.
Bill Jacobson & the Rise of the West Palm Beach Antique & Flea Market
Bill Jacobson & the rise of the West Palm Beach Antique & Flea Market. When attorney and longtime West Palm Beach resident Bill Jacobson founded the West Palm Beach Antique and Flea Market on Clematis Street over a decade ago, he had a clear vision: create a vibrant, family-friendly seasonal marketplace that complemented the area’s downtown scene.
Jacobson—who also built a respected real estate law practice—poured his energy into curating a diverse mix of antiques, vintage goods, arts, and crafts. His goal: attract tourists, collectors, and locals alike to Saturdays on Clematis. What began as a small gathering of vendors has grown over the years into a vibrant marketplace featuring more than 100 vendors each Saturday. Today, the market is recognized as one of downtown West Palm Beach's signature attractions, with the Downtown Development Authority praising it as an iconic part of the city's culture and community. Bill's passion for fostering community and curating unique treasures created a market that continues to thrive and remains a cherished Saturday tradition.
Tragically, Bill passed away in February 2024 at age 77. Yet thanks to his foresight and persistence, the market he founded endured. Today, Bill’s widow, Kathryn, his daughter, and son in law have taken the helm. They are dedicated to preserving his legacy and maintaining core values—welcoming weekend shoppers, supporting local artisans and dealers, and fostering warm, neighborhood spirit.
